I’m just bursting with happiness thinking about those 454 acres in New Jersey’s Appalachian Mountains, now safe for bobcats to roam free, their tufted ears twitching as they hunt through forests and streams.

It’s so uplifting to know the Nature Conservancy, with help from folks like the Land Conservancy of New Jersey, pieced together $3.25 million to protect these lands, creating a corridor stretching 96,000 acres between the Kittatinny Ridge and Highlands.

I love how this isn’t just about saving bobcats—though I can’t stop picturing those spotted kitties slinking through the woods—it’s also about guarding clean water for millions by keeping the Paulinskill and Delaware Rivers pure.
